Starry Night (1889) by Vincent Van Gogh

The night brought dreams to live in,
the long awaited embrace and its warmth.
It grew as an imagination
as much as convincing as reality
So much so that the it stayed too long .
These dreams of the open eyes
The sense of life

No, it was much more
unaffected by the light's strife
The night walked into days
unfazed by the light's strife.
The night walked into days
unfazed by deliberate lies.
Caring so much about the joys it brought,
it did not see foresee the sudden awakening
 followed by cries.

And now there is loss
And now there is pain
Now even at night there is no night
It ran away leaving eyes behind
The screams of light are now loud
they sob for their kin's grief
if it was just pain, it would have died
but the dead numbness was
looking down from a cliff

It brought darkness without night
The ghost of embrace sweet and sorrow
without any hope of flight.
The eyes search in the nothingness of
darkness , for now the light has gone too
and it begs for a thousand deaths
before a breath without light .
